The Ambassador of Vietnam to China H.E. Mr. Dang Minh Khoi personally welcomed the junior journalists. He said that on January 18th, 1950, Vietnam and China formally established diplomatic relations. There are 204 countries in the world. Vietnam is China's eighth largest trading partner. The culture inherited from the history of Vietnam and China developed our long-lasting friendship. You are the inheritor and messenger of Vietnam-China’s friendship. Vietnam and China are good neighbors, good partners, good friends and good brothers.

November 24th, 2016, you delivered a speech at the China Foreign Affairs University under the theme of "Healthy and Stable Development of Vietnam-China Relations: An Important Factor for Regional Peace, Stability and Cooperation." “Thank you very much for your question. The children of Vietnam are just like all of you here today. You hope to build China into a strong socialist country with democracy, harmony and grace. The children in Vietnam also hold the same wishes as you and hope to build Vietnam into a democratic, prosperous and strong country in the future. Therefore, I hope that you will communicate more with Vietnamese children. I would also invite you to visit Vietnam. I have a dream. Another junior journalist asked: “11 days ago, China and Vietnam celebrated the 68th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The two countries are friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, and our traditional friendship goes back to ancient times. The two sides have had frequent exchanges in all fields. 邓明魁大使谈到，我们的文化旅游特色特别丰富，在广宁有一个海湾叫下龙湾，中国人非常喜欢去游玩，并称那里叫做“海上桂林”，我们有3000公里海岸，越南中部、南部等地都有海岸，十分漂亮；越南还有一个古都，是当年帝王生活的地方，就像中国的“故宫”，越南还有湄公河三角洲，湄公河又叫九龙江，九龙江是在湄公河的下游，是我们越南的母亲河。
Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi said that we have great cultural tourism resources. There is a bay called Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh, where most Chinese people like to visit. They call it “Guilin on the Sea”. We have 3,000 kilometers of coastline around the central and southern Vietnam. Vietnam is also an ancient capital, where the many emperors lived there before, just like China's “Forbidden City”. There is the Mekong Delta, the Mekong River is also called the Jiulong River. The river is considered as the mother River for Vietnamese people.
“大使阁下您好！河内大学孔子学院是中越共同建立的第一所孔子学院，也是中越两国教育文化交流合作的重要成果，为中越青年学生和学者搭建起一个互相学习交流、共同进步发展的重要平台。请问：您对未来中越两国的教育合作有哪些期待？谢谢！”
“Hello Ambassador! The Confucius Institute at Hanoi University is the first Confucius Institute jointly established by China and Vietnam. It is also an important achievement in educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Vietnam. It provides an important platform for Chinese and Vietnamese young students and scholars to learn from each other. 邓明魁大使说，2017年，在越南河内正式成立中国文化中心，越南在中国有一万多名留学生，中国在越南有3000多名留学生，我们两国之间想要更好的进行交流合作，必须要加强两国语言的学习，学习越南语和汉语。我还记得，2015年，习近平总书记访问越南，他说过，国之交在于民相亲，这种说法很对，也很重要。我高度赞同中国在越南成立孔子学院，它是一个促进两国文化教育交流的重要窗口，今后希望我们中越文化交流更加密切。
Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi said that in 2017, a Chinese cultural center was officially established in Hanoi, Vietnam. Here are more than 10,000 international students from Vietnam in China. There are also more than 3,000 international students from China in Vietnam. We want to have better communication and exchanges between the two countries; therefore, we have tostrengthen the language study to learn Vietnamese and Chinese languages. I still remember that in 2015, President Xi Jinping visited Vietnam. He said that the communication between two countries is built on people-to-people relationship, which is very correct and important. I highly appreciated that China has established the Confucius Institute in Vietnam. It is an important channelto promote cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries. In the future, we hope that our cultural exchanges between China and Vietnam will become more frequent and better.
邓明魁大使得知小记者采访越南驻华大使馆结束的下一站是俄罗斯驻华大使馆，深有感触地说：“俄罗斯驻华大使安德烈⋅杰尼索夫是我的校友，他也懂越南话，请代我向他表达问候，当年他和我在莫斯科国际关系学院学习。”
When Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi knew the next embassy the junior journalists will be visiting is the Russian Embassy, he emotionally said: “The Russian Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Andrey Denisov, is my alumni. He also understands Vietnamese. Please send my kindest regards to him because he and I studied in Moscow Institute of International Relations together before.
