(中外新闻社 中外新闻网记者 孟庆玺) 2025年8月28日, 土耳其驻华大使馆隆重举办胜利日与武装部队日103周年纪念庆典。此次活动汇聚了多国驻华大使及使馆官员、中国宾客及土耳其公民, 中国人民解放军空军少将及多名军官受邀参加活动。
On August 28, 2025, the Embassy of Turkey in China solemnly hosted a ceremony commemorating the 103rd Anniversary of Victory and Armed Forces Day. The event brought together ambassadors and embassy officials from multiple countries, Chinese guests, diplomatic and military corps, and Turkish citizens in Beijing. Major Generals of the People's Liberation Army Air Force and several officers were invited to attend the occasion.

His Excellency Mr. Selçuk Ünal, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to China, delivered a speech. He began by paying profound tribute to the heroes who secured victory for the Republic of Turkey, particularly the founder of the Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, and all martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation, expressing the highest respect and gratitude to them.

Ambassador Selçuk Ünal emphasized that Turkey has consistently been a peace-loving and responsible member of the international community. We remain prepared for all contingencies, yet prioritize diplomatic solutions. Nevertheless, the Turkish Armed Forces—with their formidable manpower, high readiness, extensive experience, advanced technology, and flexible structure—remain a vital force actively contributing to international peace and stability. The military's success is inextricably linked to the strength of our defense industry. Over the past decades, the transformation of Turkey's defense industry has enabled the rapid modernization of our armed forces. Turkish defense products are gaining increasing international attention. Today, we once again commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey, his comrades-in-arms, and all the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives and fought during that era, paying them our deepest respects.

He highly commended the close collaboration between the militaries of Turkey and China and expressed the desire to further strengthen this cooperative relationship.

Subsequently, the Military Attaché to China also delivered remarks. He reviewed Turkey's remarkable achievements in defense and security, proudly noting that under President Erdoğan's strategic leadership, Turkey has established significant influence both regionally and globally. He emphasized that Turkey consistently upholds national, moral, and cultural values, making active contributions to maintaining regional and global peace and stability. The Turkish Armed Forces rank among the world's most powerful, active, and respected military forces. Characterized by freedom and independence, they contribute to the peace and stability of our friendly nations and allies, serving as a key pillar of global peace. They contribute to global security through bilateral arrangements and international peacekeeping missions under organizations such as the United Nations and NATO.
