（本刊记者 乌仁）2026年1月7日, 新年伊始, 应保加利亚共和国驻华大使安德雷伊·特霍夫阁下邀请, 中外新闻社总裁韦燕、执行社长刘登臣、国际文化部部长乌仁一行前往保加利亚使馆拜会保加利亚共和国驻华大使安德雷伊·特霍夫阁下, 双方进行友好交流。
At the beginning of the New Year, on January 7th, 2026, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Andrey Tehov, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China, Ms. Wei Yan, President of Home and Abroad News Press, Executive Director Mr. Liu Dengchen, and Director of the International Culture Division Ms. Wuren, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in China. The two sides held a friendly exchange.

“First of all, I would like to sincerely thank Home and Abroad News Press for selecting me as one of the prize winners of 2025 Home and Abroad Press - News Person of the Year. It is a great honor for me to meet with you here today!” Ambassador Tehov stated.

“As the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to China, I am deeply honored to receive this recognition. This award affirms my continuous efforts to promote bilateral relations between Bulgaria and China in the political, economic, and cultural fields.” the Ambassador said.
韦燕总裁说, 保加利亚一直以在世界上第二个承认新中国而自豪, 始终将发展对华关系放在最优先位置, 经过76年的共同努力, 保加利亚稳定的经济环境和具有竞争优势的金融制度, 助力包括中国在内的经济体进入欧盟, 中欧关系水平不断提高, 互利合作深入发展, 利益融合日益紧密。作为保加利亚驻华大使, 您凭借其对中保合作内核的深刻把握与务实行动, 成为推动两国关系深化的核心力量。
President Wei Yan noted that Bulgaria has always taken pride in being the second country in the world to recognize the People’s Republic of China and has consistently placed the development of relations with China as a top priority. Through 76 years of joint efforts, Bulgaria’s stable economic environment and competitive financial system have helped facilitate the entry of economies, including China, into the European Union. China–Europe relations have continued to advance, with mutually beneficial cooperation deepening and shared interests becoming increasingly integrated. She emphasized that Ambassador Tehov, with his profound understanding of the essence of China–Bulgaria cooperation and his pragmatic approach, has become a key driving force in advancing bilateral relations.
保加利亚驻华大使安德雷伊·特霍夫是一位出色的外交家, 2024年1月30日在北京人民大会堂向中国国家主席习近平递交国书。大使说, 保加利亚作为欧亚桥梁持续优化投资环境, 并积极推动双边旅游合作与文化互鉴。大使回顾了保加利亚的历史与文化, 强调了保加利亚在欧洲和世界舞台上的重要角色。
Ambassador Andrey Tehov is an outstanding diplomat who presented his credentials to President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on January 30, 2024. He stated that Bulgaria, as a bridge between Europe and Asia, continues to optimize its investment environment and actively promotes bilateral cooperation in tourism and cultural exchange. The Ambassador also reviewed Bulgaria’s history and culture, highlighting the country’s important role on the European and global stage.
大使表示, 保加利亚和中国关系历来友好, 双边关系经受住了时间的考验, 在过去的近76年里取得了积极的进展, 2019年, 保中双边关系提升到“战略伙伴关系”高度。 同样中国和保加利亚在文化和教育领域的双边合作既有坚实的传统, 也有光明的前景。
The Ambassador expressed that relations between Bulgaria and China have always been friendly and have withstood the test of time. Over the past nearly 76 years, bilateral relations have made positive progress, and in 2019, China–Bulgaria relations were elevated to the level of a “Strategic Partnership.” Cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture and education, he added, enjoys a solid foundation and a promising future.
保加利亚政府高度重视与中国的关系。“中国是我们亚洲地区的优先合作伙伴。”大使说。
The Bulgarian government attaches great importance to its relationship with China. “China is our priority partner in Asia.” Ambassador Tehov said.
“在此背景下, 一年前我应邀接受中国一家主流媒体采访时曾提到, 作为大使, 我未来的工作重点之一就是与中国合作伙伴加强高层互访交流。一年后的今天, 通过双方共同努力, 这项任务已圆满完成。”
“In this context, when I accepted an interview with a major Chinese media outlet one year ago, I mentioned that one of my key priorities as Ambassador would be to strengthen high-level exchanges with Chinese partners. Today, one year later, through the joint efforts of both sides, this objective has been successfully achieved.”
“同样, 我们在文化教育领域的双边合作以及活跃的人文交流, 既拥有深厚的传统, 也蕴含着广阔的前景, 为进一步巩固两国友好关系做出了贡献。”
“Likewise, our bilateral cooperation in culture and education, as well as our dynamic people-to-people exchanges, are rooted in a long tradition and hold broad prospects, contributing to the further consolidation of friendly relations between our two countries.” the Ambassador added.
大使说, 在此背景下, 中外新闻社给予我获此殊荣将为我作为保加利亚驻华大使注入新的动力, 激励我继续不懈努力, 为推动两国在共同关心的各领域合作取得更大进展贡献力量。
Ambassador Tehov stated that, against this backdrop, the honor bestowed upon him by Home and Abroad News Press will provide renewed motivation for him in his role as Bulgaria’s Ambassador to China, inspiring him to continue working tirelessly to advance cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.

At the end of 2025, Andrey Tehov was appointed Honorary Chairman of the Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors’ Club. Both sides expressed their expectation that China–Bulgaria friendly relations will reach new heights in the future.
