We have reached this wonderful moment: today, Home and Abroad News Press is celebrating its 24th birthday. We bring together many ambassadors, diplomats, media colleagues, and friends with different colors, languages, cultures and religions to celebrate the 24th anniversary of Home and Abroad News Press and to share the great achievements of China with the world through our “News Diplomacy”. Tonight, we are extremely excited to have many esteemed Chinese leaders, foreign ambassadors and officials from many countries attending our ceremony. On behalf of Home and abroad News Press Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Administrative Committee as well as our 72 branches and information centers around the world, we would like to welcome all the guests with our deepest heartful gratitude for joining us tonight!

It has taken tremendous efforts to build Home and Abroad News Press in the past 24 years. The success of Home and Abroad News Press is created from its innovative business model, top-performing talented employees, continuous encouragement and systematic management. In the past 24 years, we grew from a small company to an international corporation which owns and operates with more than 72 global branches and information centers, including U.S.A, Canada, Finland, France, U.K., Singapore, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Cambodia among many others. In those countries, our work and contributions were greatly appreciated by the local governments and communities.

Home and Abroad News Press promotes “News Diplomacy” to enhance international cooperation in various fields. 2024年9月21-24日，我和我们的副总裁张珈闻先生作为中国代表，出席了联合国“未来行动日”峰会，会上我同美国总统气候问题特使约翰•克里(John Kerry)作了专题交流，此次会议除了在减缓气候变化方面取得的进展之外，COP还成功制定了适应气候变化全球目标框架，为加强世界各地社区应对日益严峻的气候影响的韧性提供了动力。
From September 21st to 24th of 2024, I attended the United Nations Future Summit with our Vice President, Mr. Alan Zhang. During the summit, I held a thematic talk with Mr. John Kerry, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. Beyond progress made in mitigating climate change, the COP successfully established a global goal framework for climate adaptation, providing momentum to strengthen the resilience of communities worldwide in confronting increasingly severe climate impacts.
中国外交部长王毅出席联合国“未来行动日”峰会,并发表了题为《把握共同命运,共创美好未来》的重要讲话。中外新闻社现场报道：未来峰会为全球和平与发展注入了新动能,提出的《未来契约》描绘了人类共同前途的宏伟蓝图。联合国“未来行动日”成为中外新闻社的“立即行动日”，回国后，我们即推动峰会取得的积极成果，在2024“欧亚合作发展大会”上，就“碳中和”主题，我们引领欧亚多国外交官及学者就展开文明对话，对话内容达到预期效果。
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the UN Future Summit and delivered an important speech titled “Shaping Our Shared Future.” Home and Abroad News Press reported on-site: The Future Summit has created new momentum into global peace and development, with the proposed Future Compact outlining a grand blueprint for humanity's shared future. Upon returning to China, we promptly advanced the summit's positive outcomes. At the 2024 “Eurasian Cooperation and Development Conference,” we spearheaded a civilizational dialogue among diplomats and scholars from multiple Eurasian nations on the theme of “carbon neutrality,” that achieved the desired outcomes.
在参加联合国“未来行动日”峰会后，我们访问了在推动绿色低碳发展与应对气候变化树立的典范城市：包括美国洛杉矶市、亚特兰大市及加拿大多伦多市、澳大利亚布里斯班市和墨尔本市。
Following the United Nations Future Summit, we visited several exemplary cities that have set benchmarks in advancing green, low-carbon development and addressing climate change, including Los Angeles and Atlanta in the United States, Toronto in Canada, and Brisbane and Melbourne in Australia.
今年6月2日和11月27日，我们分别在马来西亚吉隆坡和香港成功举办了国际低碳发展行动论坛”，在全球气候变化日益严峻的背景下，积极应对气候变化,既是顺应当今世界发展趋势的客观要求,也是我国实现可持续发展的内在需要和历史机遇。
On June 2 and November 27 this year, we successfully hosted the International Low-Carbon Development Action Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. With the global climate change, actively addressing climate change is not only an objective requirement aligned with current global development trends but also an intrinsic necessity and historic opportunity for China to achieve sustainable development.
下一步，我们将邀请各国驻华大使推荐本国的低碳发展典范城市市长到访问中国，共同探讨低碳经济带给世界的机遇，为城市的发展方向提供更加准确、科学的决策，赋予智慧城市新的内涵和新的要求。
Next, we will invite ambassadors from various countries to China to recommend mayors of exemplary low-carbon development cities in their nations for visits to China. Together, we will explore the opportunities the low-carbon economy brings to the world by providing more accurate and scientific evidence-based decision-making for urban development directions and endow smart cities with new connotations and requirements.
作为大使, 我们不仅为政治而来, 也是为经济而来。在国际形势深刻复杂变化的背景下, 国与各国友好合作势在必行。2020年9月5日, 中外新闻社大使俱乐部应运而生, 至今已经有79国大使在大使俱乐部平台上相互交流, 获取资讯。中外新闻社以此为契机, 拓展合作, 实现共赢, 为世界和平、稳定与发展注入正能量。
As ambassadors, we come not only for politics, but also for economy. With the complex changes in today’s international community, friendly cooperation between China and other countries is imperative. On September 5th, 2020, Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors Club was officially founded. So far, 79 ambassadors have been invited to this friendship and exchange platform. Home and Abroad News Press takes this opportunity to expand cooperation, achieve win-win results and create positive energy for world peace, stability and development.

Home and Abroad News Press plays a unique role in China's peaceful development through its "Multi-Media Diplomacy". The friendship of nations lies in the affinity between people. 2024年2月 24日，由我率领的中外新闻社大使俱乐部之行访问了厦门，希腊共和国驻华大使埃夫耶尼奥斯•卡尔佩里斯阁下，泰王国驻华大使阿塔育•习萨目阁下，斯里兰卡驻华大使帕利塔•科霍纳博士等大使俱乐部成员参访厦门，就新能源发电、新能源汽车后服务市场等合作展开探讨。最后斯里兰卡驻华大使帕利塔•科霍纳博士同厦门誉群投资集团达成协议：厦门誉群投资集团将前往斯里兰卡筹建新能源分厂，产品新能源车从斯里兰卡出口至欧洲等地，大使俱乐部此次访问取得了可喜的成果，中外新闻社在推动民间外交上又迈出了一步。
February 24th of this year, Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors Club took Ambassador of Greece to China H.E. Mr. Evgenios Kalpyris, Ambassador of Thailand to China H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China H.E. Dr. Palitha Kohona, Commercial Counselor of Bangladesh Embassy in China Mr. Mohammad Monsour Uddin, Jamaican Commercial Counselor Mr. Durvan Pryce and other Club members to visit Xiamen and to discuss cooperation on new energy power generation and the after-sales service market of green vehicles. Finally, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China Dr. Palitha Kohona reached an agreement with Xiamen Yuqun Investment Group to invest a new energy plant in Sri Lanka and then export new energy vehicles from Sri Lanka to Europe. This visit of the Ambassadors Club achieved promising results, and Home and Abroad News Press took a step forward to promote civil diplomacy.
2024年7月 28日，由我率领的中外新闻社大使俱乐部大湾区之行访问了深圳、韶关等地，斯洛伐克驻华大使彼得•利扎克阁下、马耳他驻华大使白瀚轩阁下、阿根廷驻华大使马致远阁下、纳米比亚驻华大使凯亚莫阁下等抵达大湾区，大湾区其经济发达、产业基础好、合作项目多等优势是大使团通力合作的最佳选择。
On July 28th, 2024, Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors' Club organized a diplomatic delegation to visit Shenzhen, Shaoguan, and other cities in this Greater Bay Area tour. Slovak Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Peter Lízaček, Ambassador of Malta to China H.E. Mr. John Busuttil, Ambassador of Argentina to China H.E. Mr. Marcelo Suarez Salvia, and Ambassador of Namibia to China H.E. Mr. Elia G. Kaiyamo. The region's economic prosperity, well-developed industrial foundation, and numerous cooperative projects made it the optimal choice for the ambassadors' collaborative efforts.
媒体外交是当今世界许多国家十分重视的一种外交形式。积极开展媒体外交, 有利于所在国的形象在世界范围内传播。今年11月7日，日本首相高市早苗涉台言论引发国内强烈抗议及国际关注，中外新闻社以敏锐的眼光第一时间与日本前首相鸠山由纪夫交流，鸠山由纪夫毫不遮掩地指出：高市错误言论致日中关系恶化令人担忧！ 11月11日，鸠山由纪夫再次在社交媒体上重申：“日本不应干涉中国内政。”并指出高市早苗偏离了日本政府长期以来遵守的“台湾是中国内政”的基本立场，一场由日本首相高市早苗在台湾问题上的激进言论引发的外交风波，揭示了亚太地区战略格局的深刻变化。中外新闻社以敏锐的观点进行报道，绝不容忍高市早苗在台湾问题上的越线挑衅。
Media diplomacy is a form of diplomacy that many countries around the world place great emphasis on today. Actively engaging in media diplomacy helps promote the image of the country in question on a global scale. On November 7th of this year, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's remarks on Taiwan sparked strong domestic protests and international attention. With keen insight, Home and Abroad News Press promptly engaged in dialogue with former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama. Hatoyama bluntly stated: “Takaichi's erroneous remarks have worsened Sino-Japanese relations, which is deeply concerning!” On November 11th, Hatoyama reiterated on social media: “Japan should not interfere in China's internal affairs.” He emphasized that Takaichi had deviated from the Japanese government's long-standing fundamental position that “Taiwan is China's internal affair.” This diplomatic incident, triggered by Prime Minister Takaichi's radical remarks on the Taiwan issue, reveals profound shifts in the strategic landscape of the Asia-Pacific region. 24 years of exploration and dedication, and 24 years of glory and dream have become a sense of persistence, inspiration and responsibility. In June 2006, Home and Abroad News Press was designated as the mainstream media by three United Nations associated organizations in Vancouver Canada.
2010年5月20日, 中外新闻社收到从台北发来函件：台当局“行政院新闻局”文批准。至此, 中外新闻社在台湾落地。
May 20th, 2010, Home and Abroad News Press received the approval letter from Taiwan local authority to officially open the local branch in Taiwan.
2011年5月6日, 国务院港澳办批准, 中外新闻社设立北京记者站。
May 6th, 2011, Chinese State Council officially approved Home and Abroad News Press to open the first Mainland China office in Beijing.
特别值得一提的是：8年前中外新闻社驻中国传媒大学工作室揭牌仪式在中国传媒大学举行, 中国传媒大学与中外新闻社签署协议，双方结为战略合作伙伴，这给中外新闻社插上了腾飞翅膀。双方认为：此次合作正是应对时代挑战的选择, 对促进传媒业发展, 培养造就更多高素质传媒人才, 提升中国媒体在国际上的传播能力。
Seven years ago, Communication University of China and Home and Abroad News Press established strategic partnership, and we opened a local office in the Communication University of China. Through this partnership, both organizations achieved consensus to train more high-quality media talents to response to the challenges of today’s media industry and enhance Chinese external communication in the global platform.
至此, 中外新闻社已经发展成为有以下7个附属机构：中外新闻网、中外企业家联合会、国际廉政观察委员会、国礼书画院、中外新闻社大使俱乐部和中外新闻社“一带一路”教育研学院。这些组织发挥着不同的作用，极大地促进了中外友谊与合作。
So far, Home and Abroad News Press successfully launched 7 associated organizations, including Home and Abroad News Press magazine and website, Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneur Association, International Integration Observation Committee, National Artworks Institute, Ambassadors Club and "Belt and Road" Education Research Institute. Those associated organizations serve for different functions and greatly connect and promote the friendships and cooperations between China and foreign countries.
盘点着可以引以自豪的辉煌的业绩, 我们不会忘记在陋巷中拼搏的激情燃烧的岁月, 更不能消磨了我们锐意进取、艰苦创业的意志。今天, 仍思考着如何利用《中外新闻》的资源优势和人才优势, 创新改革思路, 拓宽发展空间, 我们将以全球化视野和国际化眼光, 利用我们拥有的外交资源, 积极推进中外的传媒合作。
Counting the glorious achievements that we can be proud of, we will not forget the passionate dedication during the startup process. Today, we are still thinking about how to utilize the resources and talents of Home and Abroad News Press to innovate and reform ideas and expand international connections. We will take our diplomatic resources with global perspective to actively promote cross-border media cooperation.
