I would like to sincerely thank the China Home and Abroad News Press Association for choosing me and my colleagues to receive the News Person of the Year 2025 Award. This award delivered to myself is a testimony of your commitment to highlighting the excellent momentum of diplomatic relations between China and our respective countries.
衷心感谢中外新闻社将2025年度新闻人物奖授予我和我的同事们。这项授予我的荣誉, 见证了各位致力于彰显中国与各国外交关系蓬勃发展的卓越势头。
As you know, for six years, Senegal served as the African co-chair of the Forum for China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), and I have worked tirelessly to strengthen the important strategic partnership between China and African countries. At the last FOCAC Summit, held in Beijing in September 2024 and co-chaired by Presidents Xi Jinping and Bassirou Diomaye Faye, a new roadmap for China-Africa cooperation illustrated by the adoption of the 2025-2027 Action Plan was endorsed and constitutes a further milestone in the consolidation of the exceptional multifaceted cooperation between China and Africa. Mutual respect, friendship, solidarity, and joint action for shared development and prosperity are the principles of China-Africa relations.
众所周知, 塞内加尔担任中非合作论坛非洲共同主席国已六年之久, 我始终不遗余力地致力于加强中国与非洲国家之间的重要战略伙伴关系。在2024年9月于北京举行的上届中非合作论坛峰会上, 由习近平主席和巴西鲁·迪奥马耶·法耶总统共同主持, 通过了《2025-2027行动计划》这一中国-非洲合作的新路线图, 标志着中非非凡的多领域合作迈入新的里程碑。相互尊重、友好互助、团结协作、携手共进, 是中非关系的立身之本。
For my part, in my capacity as Ambassador of Senegal to China, I focus my action to consolidate the exemplary cooperation between Senegal and China, illustrated by the first state visit in China by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye since his election, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping, and which was crowned with resounding success with the adoption of a common vision of the two heads of State to inscribe China-Senegal cooperation in a trajectory of development and shared prosperity, backed by solidarity and permanent mutual consultation on issues of common interest.
作为塞内加尔驻华大使, 致力于巩固塞中典范合作关系。巴希鲁·迪奥马耶·法耶总统应习近平主席邀请, 自当选后首次对中国进行国事访问, 此次访问取得圆满成功, 两国元首共同提出愿景, 将塞中合作纳入以团结互助、就共同关切问题保持常设磋商为支撑的发展与共同繁荣轨道。
May I recall that H.E Ousmane Sonko, Prime Minister of Senegal paid an official visit to China last June, at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, contributing to consolidating the results of the State visit of our President. Similarly, many Senegalese authorities have paid working visits to China and Chinese authorities as well have paid visits to Senegal, contributing to deepening the people-to-people exchange.
谨此回顾, 塞内加尔总理奥斯曼·桑科阁下应中方邀请于去年六月对中国进行正式访问, 为巩固我国总统国事访问成果做出贡献。同样, 众多塞内加尔政府官员曾赴华进行工作访问, 中方官员也多次访问塞内加尔, 为深化两国人民交流做出贡献。
Also, we are taking action to bring the Chinese and African peoples closer through academic, scientific and cultural exchanges, because our mission is also to create a dialogue of cultures and civilizations between China and our respective countries.
此外, 我们正通过学术、科学和文化交流促进中非人民的相互了解, 因为我们的使命还包括推动中国与非洲各国开展文化与文明对话。
In terms of prospects, we will continue to focus our diplomatic efforts on consolidating these important results by integrating dynamic cooperation between Chinese provinces and Senegal in local development and investment.
展望未来, 我们将继续集中外交力量, 通过整合中国各省与塞内加尔在地方发展和投资方面的动态合作, 巩固这些重要成果。
Next year, Senegal will host the Youth Olympic Games, a first in Africa, and we have promoted efficient cooperation with China to make a qualitative contribution to the holding of this important global sporting event, dedicated to the world's youth.
明年塞内加尔将主办首届非洲青年奥运会, 我们已推动与中方开展高效合作, 为这场献给全球青年的重要国际体育盛事做出实质性贡献。
I will spare no effort to contribute to the strengthening of the exemplary relations between Senegal and China, China & Africa and reiterate our warm congratulations to the organizers of this ceremony of diplomatic excellence.
我将不遗余力地推动塞中关系、中非关系这一典范关系的深化发展, 并再次向本次外交盛典的组织者致以热烈祝贺。
