（中外新闻社 北京报道）墨西哥是一个怎样的国度？墨西哥文化又是怎样的？在中国哪里可以找到墨西哥元素？8月3日下午，“见证友谊”--中外新闻社小记者团有幸在大使馆采访墨西哥驻华大使何塞•路易斯•贝尔纳尔阁下。
What is Mexico? What is Mexican culture? Where can I find Mexican elements in China? On the afternoon of August 3, “Witness Friendship” 2017 Summer Home & Abroad News Press Junior Journalist Delegation had the honor to interview the Mexican Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Jose Luis Bernal at the Mexican embassy in China.
贝尔纳尔大使首先向小记者介绍墨西哥国家，然后他说，今年恰逢中国与墨西哥建交45周年，在过去的45年里，中墨两国各领域各方面都有了突飞猛进的发展，这是一个相互认识、相互欣赏文化历史财富的过程，也是在几个世纪的历史长河中连接两国的纽带。2013年，习近平主席在墨西哥城同墨西哥总统培尼亚举行会谈，两国元首宣布，将中墨战略伙伴关系提升为全面战略伙伴关系。中国是一个世界大国，墨西哥是一个新兴国家，目前是世界第15大经济体。
Ambassador Bernal first introduced Mexico country to the junior journalist delegation. He said that this year is the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mexico. Over the past 45 years, both China and Mexico have seen rapid development in all fields and all levels. A process of mutual understanding and mutual appreciation of the cultural history has connected the two countries for many centuries. In 2013, President Xi Jinping held talks with Mexican President Peña in Mexico City. The heads of state of the two countries announced that they will elevate the China-Mexico strategic partnership to a comprehensive strategic partnership. China is a world power. Mexico is an emerging country and is currently the 15th largest economy in the world.
到了小记者采访环节时小记者问：“您好大使先生！您刚才说2017年是中国和墨西哥建交45周年，对于两国来说具有特殊而重要的意义，您作为在这个节点上任的墨西哥驻华大使职位，请问您将如何在你的任期内继续推动中国和墨西哥关系健康向前发展？”
During the interview, a junior journalist asked: “Hello Mr. ambassador, 2017 is the 45th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between China and Mexico, and it has special and important meanings behind the friendship of the two countries. As the Mexican Ambassador to China, how will you continue to promote and develop China and Mexico’s bilateral relationship during your term here?”
大使谈到，墨西哥驻华大使职位非常重要，首先我要抓好现有的双边关系，促进双边务实合作；第二，寻找更多的机会让两国关系得到迅速发展；第三，引进高素质优秀人才；第四，把两国已存在的友好合作关系推向新高度；第五，展望未来，让中国企业在墨西哥有更多的发展机会，也让墨西哥人能更积极地参与到中国广大的市场中来，真正达到互利共赢。
The ambassador said that as the Mexican ambassador to China, first of all, I need to maintain the existing bilateral relations and promote bilateral pragmatic cooperation. Secondly, I should seek more opportunities for the rapid development of bilateral relations. Thirdly, introduce high-quality talents. Fourthly, develop the existing bilateral relations to a new height; Fifthly, looking forward to the future, we will provide more opportunities to Chinese enterprises investing in Mexico and also help Mexican people to participate more actively in Chinese markets so that we can truly achieve mutual benefits and win-win situations.
“您是一位资深的外交官，曾任墨西哥驻韩国大使、墨西哥驻捷克大使、墨西哥驻瑞士大使、墨西哥驻美国洛杉矶总领事及亚太经合组织墨西哥政府高级代表等外交职位，请问您是怎么教育你的孩子？他们也会像你一样具有外交风范和选择外交工作吗？他们的理想是什么？”小记者问。
“As an experienced diplomat, you have been to several senior positions, such as the Mexican Ambassador to South Korea, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Las Angeles and APEC. As a kind father, how are you educating and guiding your child? Will they choose the same career path as you? What are their dreams?” a junior journalist asked.
大使说，我的外交事务非常忙碌，但是家庭对于我来说非常重要。我有两个孩子，一男一女，在华盛顿出生、墨西哥学习，后来女儿和儿子分别被美国斯坦福大学和华盛顿大学录取。现在儿子在捷克的一家大公司任职，女儿选择在英国伦敦。作为孩子，他们最大的梦想就是希望自己能成为一个独立的人，更好的规划自己的人生，一步步的去实现梦想，我和我的太太完全支持他们，无论孩子做什么，我们都是觉得有理由的。
The Ambassador said that my diplomatic work is very busy, but the family is very important to me. I have two children, one boy and one girl. They were born in Washington DC and studied in Mexico. Later, my daughter and son were admitted to Stanford University and Washington University respectively. Now my son works in a large company in the Czech Republic and my daughter chose to stay in London, UK. As a child, their greatest dream is to become an independent person who is able to plan for their own life and realize their dreams step by step. I and my wife fully support them. No matter what the children do, we feel that there is a good reason behind.
小记者问：“中国驻墨西哥使馆每年都举办一场文化盛宴 “中国文化日”，为两国人民相识相知提供了良好平台，使两国民众的心贴的更近，两国友谊的纽带逾加紧密。请问大使先生：墨西哥是美洲文化大国，你会不会在你的任职内，墨西哥使馆每年能否也举办一场文化盛宴 “墨西哥文化日”？让更多的中国青少年了解墨西哥文化和教育？”
“The Chinese Embassy in Mexico holds a cultural feast every year “Chinese Culture Day", which provides a good platform for the two peoples to know each other, so that their hearts can get closer and the diplomatic ties are more connected between the two countries. We would like to ask Mr. Ambassador: as a strong cultural country in Latin Americas, will Mexican Embassy in China also hold a cultural feast every year, like "Mexican Culture Day"? With this special program, more Chinese students and youth can learn more about Mexican culture and education.”
“我已经意识到文化交流对于两国的重要，文化交流应该每年举办一场，包括艺术、音乐等，墨西哥驻华使馆将会举办一系列活动，推广墨西哥文化，墨西哥是西班牙语国家，全世界有5亿人讲西班牙语，墨西哥占25%。我们还要推广旅游，墨西哥是一个美丽的国家，我邀请你们大记者、小记者到墨西哥旅游，墨西哥欢迎你们。”
“I have already realized that cultural exchanges are very important to both countries, and the cultural exchange programs should be held at least once a year, including arts, music and such. The Mexican embassy in China will organize a series of activities to promote Mexican culture. Mexico is a Spanish-speaking country. There are over 500 million people who speak Spanish around the world, and about 25% lives in Mexico. We will also promote our tourism. Mexico is a beautiful country. I invite all of you to travel to Mexico. Mexico welcomes you.”
此次小记者们对墨西哥驻华使馆的采访，不仅对墨西哥国家有了一定的了解，同时感受到大使外交风范下的亲和力、感染力。采访结束，每一位小记者都给贝尔纳尔大使赠送礼物，祝福大使先生在中国工作、生活愉快。
Through the interview with the Mexican Embassy in China, the junior journalists not only learned more about Mexico and its culture, but also felt the ambassador’s kindness, and well-developed diplomatic temperament. At the end of the interview, every junior journalist presented their gifts to the ambassador and wished him have a happy life in China.
