GDP per capita of Luxembourg is $110,000, the highest in the world. GDP per capita of Hong Kong is $ 30,000 dollars, while Japan is $40,000 dollars and American is $50,000. GDP per capita of Luxembourg is twice as much as American’s. Luxembourg is really a great country worth paying attention. At the beginning of the New Year, we interviewed with Luxembourg ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Carlo Krieger. “Through this interview by Home and Abroad News Press, I hope more Chinese friends will find the value of Luxembourg, the great country located in the heart of Europe”, Mr. Krieger said pleasantly in this interview.
记者：您好大使先生，1972年11月16日，卢森堡同中国建交，中卢建交39年来，两国关系顺利发展。尤其是近年来，双方高层互访频繁，互利合作成果显著。作为卢森堡大公国的驻华大使，您为两国的关系发展作出了杰出的贡献。请您谈谈对中国的印象。
Journalist: Luxembourg officially established diplomatic relations with China on November 16th, 1972. In the past 39 years, the bilateral relation between China and Luxembourg has been developed smoothly. Especially in recent years, the high-level visits between the two nations are more frequent and the mutual beneficial cooperation has achieved significant success. As Luxembourg Ambassador to China, you have made great contributions to the friendship development process between two nations. Please share your impression about China with us.
大使：我在任职卢森堡大公国驻华大使的四年时间，是卢中两国友好关系非常成功的时期。卢森堡大公在过去的四年来过中国很多次，参观了不同的城市，并与众多中国领导人会晤。首相让•克洛德•容克先生等都来过中国。我见证了北京奥运会、中华人民共和国成立60周年、上海世博会、广州亚运会等。今年我们还要见证着在深圳举行的世界大学生运动，中国真的了不起。
Ambassador: It has been four years since I was appointed as Luxembourg ambassador to China. This four year is a remarkable period that friendly relation between China and Luxembourg has been developing successfully. During the past four years, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg visited China many times, he visited different cities and met with numerous Chinese government leaders. Prime Minister of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker also paid visit to China. I witnessed many significant events, such as the Beijing Olympic Games, the 60th anniversary of People’s Republic of China, Shanghai World Expo, Guangzhou Asian Games. This year we will witness the Shenzhen Universidad. China is really an amazing country!

Journalist: Home and Abroad News Press was one of the official registered media for 2010 Shanghai World Expo. We visited the Luxembourg pavilion and witnessed its astonishing influence. Through the pavilion more people get acquainted with wisdom and diligence of Luxembourg people. In your opinion, what kind of impression did Luxembourg give to the world through Shanghai Expo?
大使：上海世博会是迄今为止卢森堡在世界博览会史上参加规模最大的一次。我们国家馆反映了卢森堡的精髓，在展览的6个月中，卢森堡矗立着卢森堡国宝-卢森堡市的和平雕塑金色少女。中国人民也对我们的展馆表现了很大的兴趣，公认卢森堡---是一个美丽迷人、充满诱惑力的国家。
Ambassador: Shanghai world expo was the largest World's Fair Luxembourg ever participated. Our pavilion represented the essence of Luxembourg. A national treasure -The Gelle Fra, peace statue from Luxembourg city, stood in front of the pavilion during the 6 months of exhibition. Chinese people showed great interest in the pavilion and regarded Luxembourg as a beautiful, charming and attractive county.

Journalist: From the pre-research, we find out that you have been to many cities in China. At present in what areas Luxembourg has been cooperated with China? In what areas do you want to strengthen communication and cooperation with China? If Chinese entrepreneurs want to invest in Luxembourg, what benefits do they have?
大使：卢森堡是一个非常开放，多元化和有活力的国家，位于欧洲中心。2011年1月，世界上最大的银行-中国工商银行在卢森堡的欧洲总部开业，合作领域涉及研发、汽车零部件、健康和环保技术、机械工程等，卢森堡还是中国用空运出口欧洲的主要入口。中国企业家选择卢森堡投资发展，首先这里是创新与技术的摇篮，拥有技术熟练、会多国语言的劳动力，政府对外来投资者提供优惠的税收政策。我们希望将来能加强与中国企业的紧密，期待更多的中国客人和公司发现位于欧洲中心的卢森堡。
Ambassador: Located in the heart of Europe, Luxembourg is a very open, diverse and dynamic country. In January 2011, Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, the largest bank in the world, set up its European headquarters in Luxembourg. Luxembourg has developed cooperation with China in various areas, such as research and innovation, automobile parts, technology for health and environmental protection, as well as mechanical engineering, etc. For China, Luxembourg is also the main entrance to Europe for export by air transportation. There are many reasons why Chinese entrepreneurs should choose Luxembourg for investment and business development: First of all Luxembourg is a cradle of innovation and technologies. Secondly, Luxembourg has skilled labors who can speak at least two kinds of languages. Thirdly, Luxembourg government has competitive tax policy for foreign investors. We are hoping that the relation between Chinese enterprises and Luxembourg will be strengthened in the future, and more Chinese friends will find the value of Luxembourg, the great country located in the heart of Europe.
