Poland is located in the central Europe and it is one of the improtant gates to the European Union countries. In the recent years, Poland enjoys stable political environement, consistent economic development, strong toursim demands. The country has been one of the dream tourism designations for many Chinese people. China and Poland established diplomatic relationship on October 7th, 1949. Both coutnries witnessed a solid friendship more than half of the century. At the beginning of 2011, our journalist delegation went to Beijing and visited our good friend and old friend, Mr. Tadeusz Chomicki, the Ambassador of Poland to China.
记者：中国和波兰两国建交走过了近62年历程。半个多世纪以来，在两国领导人的直接关怀和指导下，中波关系稳步发展，作为波兰驻华大使，您为此作出了杰出的贡献。您认为两国人民将如何借此机会开展更多领域的合作？
Journalist: China and Poland officially established the diplomatic relations 62 years ago. More than half of the century, both countries made great efforts to improve the bilateral relationships and the mutual cooperation achieved remarkable success. As the ambassador to China, you have also contributed a lot to this relationship development. In your opinion, what sectors or fields do you think Chinese and Polish people can explore more opportunities together?
大使：我很骄傲成为波兰驻中国的大使，波兰和中国分享过成功的经济转型经验。两国政府经常进行高层互访从而增加相互了解和深化全面合作。中国和波兰之间签署了27个省/区/市级的友好合作协议。我们每个人都应该评估迄今取得的结果和思考如何改善和发展未来在新的合作领域，比如：旅游，青年交流，文化，教育，研究开发。交流与合作应着眼于人民群众之间的关系提升而不是官方的正式互访。
Ambassador: I am really proud to be the Polish Ambassador to China, Poland and China both share experience of going through successful economic transformation. Both governments conduct regularly visits at high levels which lead to the increase of mutual understanding and deepening of overall cooperation. There are 27 agreements signed between Chinese and Polish provinces /regions/ and cities. One should evaluate results achieved so far and think how to improve and develop existing ties as well as look forward to new fields of cooperation such as e.g. tourism, youth exchange, culture, education, research and development. Exchange and cooperation should focus rather on people to people relations than on official visits.
记者：波兰是欧盟非常重要的成员之一，更是一个具有活力的国家。近年很多欧盟成员国经济出现了负增长，而波兰是唯一经济正增长的国家。请问目前波兰与中国的合作主要涉及哪些领域？中国企业家选择波兰投资发展有哪些优势？
Journalist: As an important member of the European Union, Poland is also an energetic country. In the past few years, many EU countries suffered negative economic growth; however, Poland was one of the few countries who enjoyed positive growth. Please share with us that what are the main fields Poland and China currently hold major cooperative projects? What are the competitive advantages Poland can offer to Chinese enterprise?
大使：波兰与中国的合作主要涉及涉及设备、电子等制造业以及房地产、贸易、餐饮、旅游、建筑、服务贸易等领域。波兰的经济结构由欧盟资金支持，2007年-2013欧元700亿，波兰是进入欧盟的重要通道之一，波兰有强劲的国内需求。
Ambassador: Poland and China’s main cooperative areas cover equipments, electronic products, manufacture, real estate, international investments, food processing, tourism, construction and trading services. Poland’s economic structure is supported and funded by the European Union. From 2007 to 2013, the European Union will fund more than 70 billion Euro to Poland. Poland is also an important gate to other European Union countries with great domestic demands.
记者：2010年上海世博会上，波兰已被越来越多的中国观众了解，成为是中国游客出境旅游首选国之一，请问波兰的文化和旅游有哪些特色？
Journalist: In Shanghai World Expo last year, many Chinese people learnt a lot about Poland through the well-decorated pavilion, and they choose Poland as one of their favorite tourism places. What are the unique characteristics about Polish culture and its tourism?
大使：波兰文化是一种“边缘地带文化”，它具有连接东西方的传统。波兰艺术家的艺术发展的贡献是不容置疑的，普遍接受的“波兰学校”的电影，海报艺术和诗歌。波兰古典音乐在很大程度上塑造了浪漫的传统，创造者是Fryderyk肖邦。他的许多作品成为波兰浪漫的杰作。
Ambassador: Polish culture is a “borderland culture” which appeared in the very heart of Europe. It joins the traditions of East and West. In Poland at the crossroads of Europe, there arose a specific weave of cultural traditions which artists and writers continually refer to. The contribution of Polish artists to the evolution of art is unquestioned, with generally accepted “Polish schools” of film, poster art and poetry.
波兰作为旅游目的地可满足各方面旅游者的利益，包括休闲，无论是在湖区和波罗的海沿岸划独木舟或帆船，参观历史古迹，在山林里散漫、捕鱼和狩猎，享受波兰美食并可在水疗中心里放松自己。为了促进旅游业并推动中波两国之间的交流发展，波兰期待着在中国设立波兰旅游局中国办事处，以便推动双边直航。
Poland as a tourist destination may satisfy various interests, be it leisure, canoeing or yachting in the Lakelands or the Baltic Sea Coast, visiting historical monuments, rambling in the mountains, fishing and hunting, getting acquainted with Polish cuisine and last but not least relaxing in spas. In order to facilitate and spark off development of tourism exchange between our two countries Poland is looking forward to opening a Polish Tourist Organization Office in China and re-establishing direct flight connection which should.
