哥伦比亚共和国位于南美洲西北部，东邻委内瑞拉、巴西，南接厄瓜多尔、秘鲁，西北与巴拿马接壤，北临加勒比海，西濒太平洋。1980年2月7日哥伦比亚同中国建交。建交后，中哥两国关系发展顺利,经贸合作不断加强。目前，中国已成为哥伦比亚第二大贸易伙伴。近日，本刊记者采访了哥伦比亚共和国驻华大使卡尔门萨•哈拉米略女士。
The republic of Colombia is located in the northwest of South America, bordering with Venezuela and Brazil in the west, Ecuador and Peru in the south, Panama in the northwest, Caribbean Sea in the north and the Pacific Ocean in the west. Colombia and China established the diplomatic tie on February 7th 1980, since then the relationship between the two countries has developed strongly, and the economic and trade cooperation has been strengthened. Nowadays, China has become the second largest trading partner to Colombia. Our journalists recently interviewed the Ambassador of Colombia to China, H.E. Mrs. Carmenza Jaramillo.

"Dear Ambassador, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos visited China on May 9th, 2012 and signed a series of bilateral cooperation agreements with China in energy, agriculture, science, high-tech and other sectors. As the Colombian Ambassador to China, how would you promote and support the implementation processes of those cooperation projects?" we asked.
“哥伦比亚总统胡安•曼努埃尔•桑托斯访华使中国同哥伦比亚双边关系顺利发展，通过此次访问更达成若干具体合作项目，其中包括经济，文化，农业，矿业，基础设施和能源各方面的签字仪式。哥伦比亚和中国都进行了八大经济贸易合作联合委员会，三个科学和技术合作联合委员会和一些双边教育和文化工作计划。两国关系已经达到一个转折点。”大使谈到。
"President Juan Manuel Santos visited China and agreed to further enhance the bilateral ties and cooperation on international and regional issues between China and Colombia through a series of bilateral cooperative agreements in economic trading, culture, agriculture, mining, infrastructure and energy sectors. Colombia and China mutually developed the implementation plans for the Joint Commission of the Eight Economic and Trade Cooperation, the Joint Commission of the Three Scientific and Technical Cooperation and other bilateral educational and cultural projects." the ambassador said.

“我们知道，哥伦比亚是拉丁美洲的重要国家。提到一个国家，人们总是习惯于从这个国家所特有的自然地貌，包括风土人情，寻找代表该国家的特点，比如一谈到长江、黄河、大熊猫，人们都知道是中国，提到哥伦比亚，人们应该想到什么呢？”
"We know that Colombia is an important country in Latin America. When talking about this beautiful country, people usually think about its unique natural landscapes and special customs. Just like China, people around the world would know something about the Yellow River, the Great Walls and pandas. What are the things people would expect to see and explore in Colombia?"
“哥伦比亚是一个混合了各种肤色、人种、民族、语言以及口味的国家，去那儿旅游会带给你非凡的体验。一般来说，卡特赫纳、博格达、曼德琳、卡里布卡拉曼加、三角咖啡、加勒比海和亚马逊的确都是必去的。我们有七种旅游产品，分别是自然、冒险、阳光、沙滩、文化、健康以及游轮，还有12种不同的体验。”大使如此回答。
"Colombia is a mixture of colors, people, sounds and flavors that make traveling to our country an unique experience. When traveling to Colombia, tourists can’t leave without experiencing Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Bucaramanga, and the Coffee Triangle, the Caribbean and the Amazonas. We promote seven tourism products which are the nature, the adventures, the sun, the beach, the culture, the healthy lifestyle and boat cruise tours with twelve different kinds of experiences."
记者问：“孔子学院是中国秉承孔子“和为贵”、“和而不同”的理念，推动中国文化与世界各国文化的交流与融合、建设一个持久和平、共同繁荣的和谐世界。至今已有100多家孔子学院遍布全球40多个国家。请问哥伦比亚国家设有孔子学院吗？未来如何加强两国在文化、教育上的交流与合作？”
The reporter asked, "The Confucius Institute dedicatedly promotes the Confucius’ philosophy from ancient China; those concepts promote the exchanges and integrations between Chinese culture and cultures around the world, building a lasting peace, common prosperity and harmonious world. So far, there are more than 100 Confucius Institutes in over 40 countries worldwide. My question is, is there any Confucius Institute in Colombia? Or will Colombia consider opening a Confucius Institute? How will Colombia further strengthen the communication and cooperation in cultural and educational sectors between the two countries?"
大使谈到，在哥伦比亚，目前有3所孔子学院： EAFIT大学在麦德林，安第斯大学和乔治•塔德奥•洛萨诺大学在波哥大，旨在促进中国语言和文化。去年，来自伊比利亚美洲地区孔子学院第五届代表大会在麦德林举行。本次活动云集150名来自14个国家的40个机构。哥伦比亚已经看到了合作，并与中国连接的显着增长，孔子学院发挥在加强两国之间关系的重要作用。
The Ambassador mentioned that in Colombia there are currently three Confucius Institutes: Eafit University in Medellin, the University of the Andes and theUniversity of Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota, which aim to promote Chinese language and culture. Last year the 5th Congress of Confucius Institutes from the Ibero-American region was held in Medellin. This event gathered 150 delegates from 40 institutes in 14 countries. Colombia has seen notable growth in cooperation and connection with China, with the Confucius Institute playing an important role in strengthening ties between both countries.
采访结束，大使希望中国新一届领导集体继续大力发展与拉丁美洲国家的全面友好合作关系，从而实现互利共赢。
At the end of interview, the Ambassador expected that the Chinese new leadership will continue to vigorously develop comprehensive and friendly cooperative relations with Latin American countries to realize more mutual benefit from win-win deals.
