虽然学中文对我来说是一件非常困难的事，但是我相信我会像加纳驻华大使一样，在中国不断的学习和旅游，了解中国的文化。
Although learning Chinese has been very challenging for me, I believe that I will continue to learn about China, just like the Ghana ambassador to China, and travel more within China to understand the Chinese culture.
今天晚上是我的荣誉，能够来到这里接受《中外新闻》时代人物这个奖项，我感到非常的光荣和自豪，我来到中国担任哥伦比亚驻华大使虽然只有短短十四个月时间，但是截然不够我来学习中国这个伟大国家博大精深的文化，以及丰富的风土人情。
Tonight, it is my pleasure to receive 'The News Person of the Year' prize. I feel proud and honored for receiving this honorary award. I have been in the ambassador position for just over 14 months, and I know that I have to spend more time to learn the great Chinese culture and witness its abundant cultural heritage.
作为哥伦比亚第一位女驻华大使，我深感我肩上的任务非常的艰巨，作为大使，我要不断地去在中国宣传我的国家，不仅仅是在北京、上海、香港，作为今天的获奖人之一，我非常的感谢中外新闻社给我这个机会，宣传哥伦比亚国家，哥伦比亚是一个非常奇妙的国家，我们不仅有非常美丽的风土人情，自然风光，我们的咖啡也是全世界最好的，虽然中国与哥伦比亚相距遥远，但是两国人民可以在不同的层面进行友好往来，互相学习，对于中国人，可能有很多朋友还不了解哥伦比亚在哪里，这个国家是什么样的，也许在哥伦比亚也有很多人想了解中国，不知道中国有哪些特色，这就是我要完成成为一个纽带、而且是重要的历史使命和任务。
As the first female Columbian Ambassador to China, I feel that I have great responsibilities placed on my shoulders. As the Ambassador to China, I must promote all aspects of my country to the Chinese people beyond Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. I thank Home and abroad News Press for giving me this opportunity to promote Columbia in such wonderful event. Columbia is a truly amazing country which has beautiful cultural heritage, natural sceneries, and the best coffee in the world. Despite the vast distance between China and Columbia, the peoples of the two nations friendly engage in all levels and learn from each other. Perhaps not many of you know where Columbia is and what it is like to live in this country. Likewise, there must be a lot of people in Columbia who want to know more about China and learn about its unique history and culture. What I want to do is to fill this gap and facilitate the exchanges between the peoples as one of the important diplomatic missions for both countries.
今天我来这里接受《中外新闻》时代人物这个奖项，我非常感谢中外新闻社及各位能够对哥伦比亚的认可，借此机会，我也衷心的祝贺其他各位获奖的大使们，欢迎大家去哥伦比亚旅游观光，谢谢各位！
Once again, I would like to thank Home and Abroad News Press for giving me this prize and I feel grateful that Columbia is recognized by fellow media organizations and all respected guests here tonight. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate other Ambassadors who also received this prize. I invite you all to visit Columbia in the future. Thank you!
