Mozambique is situated in the south-eastern part of the Africa continent and it boarders with many nations. The Indian Ocean is to the east of Mozambique and it is a country with beautiful coastline. Together with Sachi China, Home and Abroad News gave sponsorship and selfless assistance to Mozambique Olympic Delegations for the 2008 Olympic Games and 2010 Singapore First World Youth Games. This valuable friendship was unforgettable to the Mozambique people and our press has always been a good old friend of Mozambique. Recently, we interviewed Mr. Antonio Inacio Junior on the investment environment of Mozambique and future cooperation opportunities between China and Mozambique.

China and Mozambique established diplomatic relations on June 25, 1975 where the two countries issued a joint communiqué. Under the direct care and guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries continued to develop. As the Ambassador of Mozambique to China, you have made great contributions on promoting the bilateral relationship between China and Mozambique, please share with us your views on the current relationship between the two countries.
大使：中国是莫桑比克的战略伙伴，近年来双边合作日益扩大并持续深化，莫政府对两国合作成果以及双边关系顺利发展表示满意，希望继续深化莫中两国关系，并转化成为互惠互利的经济成果。
Ambassador: China and Mozambique are strategic partners and over the recent years there is progressively more cooperation between the two countries. The Mozambique government is very pleased to see the strengthening of bilateral relations and effective results from both sides. I hope to extend the existing bond further through greater integrations in all aspects which will induce greater economic outcomes beneficial for both countries.
记者：中非汇集了全球三分之一左右的人口，自2000年中非合作论坛成立以来，中国和非洲贸易来往迅猛增加。请问：目前中国与莫桑比克经贸合作涉及哪些领域？还有哪些发展空间？
Middle Africa has one third of the world's population, since the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was established in 2000, the business trading between China and Africa has rapidly increased. Currently, which sectors do China and Mozambique have close cooperation in? What are the growth potentials out there?
大使：莫中两国在农业、卫生、教育等多领域有着广泛的交流，莫桑比克希望学习中国先进的农业技术。我们需要改善自己的基础设施，我们需要提供更便利的设施，吸引更多的中国游客来到莫桑比克，莫桑比克作为非洲一个尚未完全开发的大陆上,具有很大的市场机会。
Ambassador: China and Mozambique have frequent encounter in sectors such as agriculture, hygiene, education and so on. Mozambique wants to acquire the advanced agriculture technologies currently used in China. We hope to refine our basic infrastructures and we believe that we can attract more Chinese tourists to visit Mozambique once we have more convenient infrastructures in place. Being a yet to be developed mass of land, Mozambique has great potential to become a large market with many resources to offer.
大使先生还详细的介绍了莫桑比克海峡。莫桑比克海峡是西印度洋的一条水道，是世界上最长的海峡，近年来莫桑比克海峡的经济价值日益凸显。大使说，莫桑比克海峡和中国的海南有很多相似的地方，双方存在很大的合作空间和潜力，相信未来双方的合作一定会取得很大的成就。
Mr Inacio also gave a detailed introduction about the Mozambique Channel. The Mozambique Channel is the world’s longest channel across the West Indian Ocean. Over the recent years, the economic value of the Mozambique Channel has increased spontaneously. He remarked that there are great similarities between Hainan of China and the Mozambique Channel. Thus there exist great potential for establishing agreements. We believe that both China and Mozambique can achieve significant beneficial results through future cooperation.
