Counselor Sari Widita further explained that Indonesia's future economic cooperation will focus on four key areas: First, agricultural cooperation. Agriculture holds a vital position in Indonesia's national economy. The country possesses approximately 80 million hectares of arable land, with around 42 million people engaged in agricultural production, contributing about 14% of the GDP. Second, energy and mineral cooperation. Indonesia possesses abundant mineral resources, including approximately 9.7 billion barrels of oil reserves and 4.8 to 5.1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas reserves. The country ranks among the world's top ten producers of palm oil, rubber, tin, nickel, gold, and coal. Third, maritime cooperation. Indonesia's maritime territory spans approximately 6 million square kilometers, ranking first in Asia and sixth globally, harboring abundant marine resources. Fourth, cooperation in emerging fields. These primarily encompass the digital economy and green economy. Collaboration in these emerging sectors can avoid cutthroat competition in traditional industries and enable leapfrog development. Additionally, Indonesia's new administration has unveiled an ambitious “Super Seawalls” initiative. This project aims to construct a massive artificial barrier connecting the capital Jakarta with Surabaya, East Java's commercial hub, thereby enhancing transportation and logistics efficiency between the two regions. Indonesia seeks to leverage China's extensive experience and leading technologies in large-scale infrastructure development and marine engineering to jointly advance this strategic endeavor.
