Italy is in the Southern Europe. It hasthe ancient Rome civilization, the glorious Renaissance history, the sunshine seaside village, the medieval townswith Waltz melodies, as well as an important role in European education. All those facts attracted junior journalists’ interests. In the afternoon of January 25th, "Witness Friendship" 2017 Winter Home & Abroad News PressJunior Journalist Delegation interviewed the Italian Consul General in Guangzhou, Mrs. Laura Egoli.

艾古丽总领事首先欢迎小记者的到访，她说，我第一次见到这么多的中国小记者，并且能够和你们面对面的交流我很开心。艾古丽总领事介绍了意大利驻广州总领馆的职能，并和她的同事—文化专员黄云一同接受小记者的采访。
Consul General Egoli first welcomed the junior journalist delegation. She said, this is my first time to meet so many Chinese junior journalists. I am very happy to have this face to face communication with you. She briefly introduced the functions of the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou and invited her colleague, the Cultural AttacheMs. Huang Yun, to take the interview together.

“见证友谊”中外新闻社小记者团寒假访问意大利驻广州总领事馆

小记者问：“艾古丽总领事你好！首先祝你和家人新年快乐。你是一位出色的女外交官，1996年罗马智慧大学政治学院国际关系专业毕业后，你开始了外交生涯，先后被意大利外交部派往尚贝里、突尼斯、纽约工作，2014年10月你担任意大利驻中国广州总领事。请问：你如何在总领事任职期间为促进意大利和广东省青少年交流、推动中意关系健康发展贡献自己的智慧和力量？谢谢！”
A junior journalist asked: “Hello Consul General Mrs. Laura Egoli. Chinese New Year is near us. Firstly, we would like to wish you and your family Happy Chinese New Year. You are such an excellent female diplomat who graduated from the Faculty of Political Science of Rome Wisdom University with the International Relations major. You have been sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy and working in Chambéry, Tunisia and New York. Since October 2014, you have become the Italian Consul General in Guangzhou. We want to know that during your term here as the Consul General, how you will contribute your wisdom and efforts to promote Chinese and Italian relationship and the exchange between Italy and the youth and students in Guangdong province. Thank you!”

李思宇小记者向艾古丽（Mrs. Laura Egoli）总领事介绍自己

“谢谢你的问题。受外交官外祖父的影响，我自小就对外交事务感兴趣。1996年罗马智慧大学政治学院国际关系专业毕业后，我开始了外交生涯，先后在尚贝里、突尼斯、纽约工作，广州是我的第四站。到任后，我成了当时广州城内第8位驻穗女总领事。” 艾古丽总领事说，她到广州时工作的重点之一就是宣传和推广米兰世博会。现在她觉得青少年交流也很重要，我们也正在鼓励学校间的合作。
“Thank you for your question. Affected by my diplomat grandfather, I was interested in foreign affairs since I was young. After graduating from Sapienza University of Rome, I started my diplomatic career and worked in Chambery, Tunisia and New York. Guangzhou is my fourth position. After arriving Guangzhou, I became the eighth female consul generalin Guangzhou.” Consul General Egoli said that one of the priorities of her work in Guangzhou was to promote Milano World Expo. Now she thinks that it is also important for teenagers to communicate with each other. We are also encouraging cooperation between schools.

“意大利教育在欧洲,乃至世界教育史上占有十分重要的地位，意大利大学的音乐、美术、体育、设计等专业在世界上十分有名。我是在读高中生，如果我选择到意大利留学，应该具备什么条件？谢谢”小记者问。
“Italian education takes very important position in European and the world’s education history. Italian university programs, such as music, arts, physical education, designing and others, enjoy high reputation in the international community. I'm currently studying in high school. If I want to go to Italy for higher education in the future, what do I need for my applications?” a junior journalist asked.

小记者们在采访中认真、专心

文化专员黄云回答说，在众多意大利留学的人群中，不乏艺术生、本科生和硕士生。由于背景不同，所以在申请学校时也会有很大不同。意大利在服装设计、机械工程、建筑、工业、艺术设计和旅游管理等专业领域处于世界领先地位。中国学生留学意大利，如果选择这些专业就读，一定能够学习到最先进的专业知识。随着中意两国文化、贸易往来的频繁，意大利也为中国学生前往留学提供了诸多便利条件。
Cultural Attache Ms. Huang Yunsaid that many people studying in Italy, there are many arts, undergraduate and graduate students. Because of different background, the applications to various schools can be very different. Italy is a world leader in the field of fashion design, mechanical engineering, architecture, industry, art design and tourism management. Chinese students study in Italy.After they choose their majors, they will be able to learn the most advanced professional knowledge. With the frequent cultural and trade exchanges between China and Italy, Italy also provides many convenient policies and conditions for Chinese students to study in Italy.

小记者团年龄最小的小记者问：“请问意大利小学生一年有几个假期？意大利的小朋友是怎样过儿童节的？谢谢”
The youngest journalist asked: “How many holidays do the Italian children have every year? How will Italian kids celebrate the Children’s Day and their festival holidays? Thank you!”

“意大利的儿童节在1月6日。这天他们会得到很多包装精美的小礼品，他们一天都会很开心，做自己喜欢做的事情。意大利的学校有寒署假，所谓寒假，一般是指圣诞节假期，12月20号左右开始，一般1-2周；另外，4月还有复活节假期，一般1周左右。而暑假就是从7月初，一直到9月底。”
“Children's day in Italy is January 6th. On this day, they will get a lot of small gifts, they will be very happy and do whatever they like. Italian schools have winter and summer holidays. The winter break generally refers to the Christmas holidays around December 20th for 1-2 weeks; in addition, there is one week holiday in April around Easter holidays. The summer vacation is from early July until the end of September.”

采访结束，艾古丽总领事给每一位小记者赠送一条围裙，上面印有意大利的国旗图案，艾古丽总领事和小记者进行互动交流、互赠礼物，现场气氛轻松活跃，不时传来阵阵笑声。艾古丽总领事提议：大家来一个“比心”手势的大合照！小记者们纷纷表示：意大利驻广州总领馆--此行受益匪浅。
At the end of the interview, Consul General Egoli gave an apron emblazoned with the Italy flags to each junior journalist. She communicated with junior journalists in a relaxed atmosphere. Consul General Egolisuggested that everyone to make a "heart" gesture in a group photo! Junior journalistsexpressed thatvisiting Italian Consulate General in Guangzhou is surely benefited.
