应习近平主席邀请，7月4日至8日，刚果共和国总统萨苏对我国进行了国事访问。访问期间，两国元首宣布，将双边关系提升为全面战略合作伙伴关系，并签署了经济技术合作协定，以及涉及产能合作、农业合作、开发区建设、文化交流、缔结友好城市等一系列合作文件，访问取得圆满成功。
Invited by President Xi Jinping, the President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou-Nguesso made a state visit to China between July 4th and 8th. During the visit, the two heads of state announced to enhance the bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership through signing an economic and technological cooperation agreement as well as a series of cooperation documents on production cooperation, agricultural cooperation, development zone construction, cultural exchanges and forming sister cities between the two countries. The visit was completed with great success and remarkable results.

此前刚果（布）驻华大使丹尼尔•奥瓦萨阁下在大使官邸接受本刊记者采访，大使阁下很庆幸在中刚两国处在黄金时期出任大使职位。近年来，中国在世界经济赛场上的表现越来越突出，中国经济也越来越受国际“观察家”们的关注。他对中刚未来的合作充满信心。
Before the Congolese Ambassador to China, H.E. Mr. Daniel Owassa met with our reporters in the embassy, he said that he was very fortunate to be the Ambassador to China in the golden age of the bilateral relationship between China and Congo. In recent years, China's rapid and solid growth has attracted the attention around the world, and the Chinese economy has become the hot spot in the eyes of the international observers. He is fully confident for China and Congo’s future cooperation.
“您好大使先生，1964年2月22日, 中国同刚果 (布) 正式建立外交关系。建交后，两国政治互信，深化务实合作，密切人文交往，两国关系不断取得新发展。作为刚果(布) 驻华大使，请问您将如何在你的任期内以你的智慧和力量继续推动中国和刚果 (布) 关系健康向前发展？”记者问。
“Dear Mr. Ambassador, since China and Congo established the diplomatic relations on February 22 1964, the two countries have been continuously developing friendship and partnership in various fields, such as political, economic, cultural and information exchanges. As the Congolese Ambassador to China, how would you continue to promote a healthy relationship between Congo and China during your tenure?” we asked.

奥瓦萨大使谈到，中刚两国在很多领域合作潜力都非常巨大。2015年12月，约翰内斯堡峰会上通过了《中非合作论坛—约翰内斯堡行动计划（2016-2018）》，中国国家主席习近平表示中方愿在未来3年同非方重点实施“十大合作计划”。在奥瓦萨看来，这些与中国的“十三五”规划战略相呼应。他认为，中国和刚果（布）在一些行业极具发展潜力。例如，工业发展和农业现代化就可成为中刚（布）双边关系发展的有力杠杆。两国还将进一步推动在刚经济区的合作。我们两国的经贸友好合作已经涉及众多领域。早在几年前刚果共和国总统府领土整治与大型工程部部长让•雅克•布亚来华期间，两国的合作，特别是在交通运输方面的合作就取得了很大的发展。中非关系集聚正能量，双方合作互利共赢，作为刚果（布）驻华大使，我会一如既往地走下去。
Ambassador Owassa expressed that the cooperation potentials between the two countries are enormous in many areas. In December 2015, the Johannesburg Summit adopted the “The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation --- Johannesburg Action Plan (2016-2018)”, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that China is ready to work with Africa to implement the “Ten major cooperation programs” in the next three years. In Ambassador Owassa’s opinions, those programs are in line with China's "Thirteen Five" strategic plans. He believes that China and Congo will have a lot of potential growth in some industries. For example, the modernization on industrial and agricultural development can be a powerful lever to boost up the bilateral relations. The two countries will further promote cooperation in the Economic Zone construction. Friendly cooperation and trade between our two countries have been established in many areas. China and Africa’s relations are full of positive energy with win-win achievable results. As the Congolese Ambassador to China, I will continue my work as always.

“The President of Congo Denis Sassou-Nguesso had visited China 12 times. He is an old friend of the Chinese people. Every visit created strong momentum to promote the bilateral strategic partnership further. China is the largest economic partner of the Congo right now. What kinds of preferential policies that Congolese government will make to attract Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Congo?” we continued to ask.
“2010年，刚果（布）同中国签署了保护投资协定，鼓励中国企业在刚果（布）的投资。在刚的中国企业和其他在刚企业一样，并没有特别的投资风险。刚果（布）不乏中资企业的身影，他们通过参与基础设施建设，支持当地的发展。据了解，刚果（布）在修建一号国道，长约500千米，贯通首都布拉扎维尔和黑角两大城市，大大改观两地的面貌，而该项目便有中资公司参与建设。刚果（布）政府不断的出台很多优惠政策吸引中国企业家前往刚果（布）投资发展，刚果（布）是一个面向全世界的国家，每一个国家的企业都能在这里找到自己的发展空间。同样也欢迎中国的企业来到刚果（布）。”
"In 2010, Congo signed an investment protection agreement with China to encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in the Congo (Brazzaville). Just like other businesses, Chinese enterprises will not have particular investment risk in Congo. Congo has a number of Chinese companies in the infrastructure sector to help local development and economic growth. Congo (Brazzaville) No. 1 National Highway Project (more than 500 km from the capital Brazzaville to Pointe-Noire) is currently under construction with Chinese companies’ participation and assistance. Congolesegovernment has introduced a lot of favored policies to attract Chinese entrepreneurs to the Congo (Brazzaville) for investment and development. Congo is an open country to the world, every country and every company can come here and find their growth opportunities. Also, Congo welcomes all Chinese enterprises.”

“During the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008, Congo donated $1 million USD to the affected areas even though Congo is not considered as a rich or well-developed country. Once again, during the Yushu Earthquake in 2010, Congolese government rebuilt a school in the affected area and helped more than 300 local children returning back to school. This school was named ‘China-Congo Friendship Elementary School’. In your opinions, what is the base for the pure and sincere friendship between China and Congo?”
奥瓦萨大使表示：“ 作为中国人民的老朋友，刚果（布）也在竭尽所能帮助中国，中刚两国自老一辈领导人开始便结下了深厚的友谊。我们是不要等自己有钱了以后才想着和朋友分享，我们两国的友谊可谓是患难之交，我们建立友谊的时候两国其中任何一国都没有达到今天的繁荣程度。所以说，中刚两国之间的人民友谊开始就是一种非常真诚的友谊。患难的时候才能见到真正的朋友和友谊。真正的朋友不管利益关系存在不存在，他永远都在你身边。这是我们刚果人民对待友谊的态度和哲学。”
Ambassador Owassa said: "As an old friend of the Chinese people, Congo (Brazzaville) will also do our best to help China when it needed. The older generation of leaders from the two countries built a profound friendship for the future generations. We are not waiting to share when we become rich; therefore, our friendship has been tested in both good times and bad times. When we first established the diplomatic relations, we were not as developed as today’s prosperity. In short, the friendship we have is very sincere and priceless to all of us. We can see the true friends during difficult times. A true friend will not hold any interests and benefits to against each other because he will always be around you. This is the attitude and philosophy our Congolese people have towards all friends.”

丹尼尔•奥瓦萨大使在会谈时表示，刚果（布）在过去相当长的一段时间内主要是依赖石油收入，刚果（布）希望通过这种多样化和现代化在农业、固体矿业、服务业得到发展。在经济区的创造和发展这方面，中国显然有更多经验，刚果（布）也希望在这个领域借鉴中国的经验。
Ambassador Owassa also said during the interview that Congo has been mainly depending on oil revenues for a long time in the past. Congo now hopes to modernize and diversify its agriculture, mining and services for greater development. In the construction and development of ‘Economic Zones’, China clearly has more experience and Congo also wishes to learn from China's experience in this field.
