Mrs. Wei Yan continued that since Home and Abroad News Press was found in 2001, it has been continuously developing its solid foundation through hard working, dedication to the News Diplomatic Strategy, promoting world peace in the international community. The media has been approved for participating in CPC National Congress, APEC meetings, Global Think Tank Forum, Asia-Europe Summit and other significant international conferences. 韦燕说，作为中外新闻社的领军人物--2007年11月4日在柬埔寨王宫--我获得了柬埔寨国王西哈莫尼陛下颁发的“皇家勋章”；2010年11日在（伊朗）十七届国际媒体展上，我获得伊朗内贾德总统颁发“总统奖”；成为来自55个国家、175家国际媒体脱颖而出获得内贾德总统颁发“总统奖”的10名记者之一，是唯一获“总统奖”的中国记者，也是唯一获奖的女记者。
Mrs. Wei Yan said that as one of the leading persons in the company, I received the Royal Medal from the Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on November 4th, 2007; received the Iranian Presidential Award at the 17th International Media Expo in Iran November 2010, I was the only Chinese journalist among 10 prize winners and the only female journalist as well.

Mrs. Wei Yan talked about Home and Abroad News Press was officially designated as the Mainstream Media for the North North Networks associated with the United Nations, the United Nations Urban Management Best Practices Steering Committee and the United Nations International Ecological Security Organization. At the ceremony, the Commissioner of the CPPCC Standing Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang Mr. He Pijie, the Press Counsellor of Pakistan Embassy to China Mr. Danyal Gilani, the Cultural Counsellor of Iranian Embassy to China, Mr. Aziz Alizadeh jointly opened the plaque of “Home and Abroad News Press Beijing Office”. Mr. He Pijie expressed his wishes to the new office and expected it to take more responsibilities and make greater contributions to the country’s reunification and world peace.

The Director of the Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao Department of All-China Journalists Association, Mrs. Liu Kun Mei, the Associate Director of Beijing Municipal Government Information Office, Mr. Xu Hejian made speeches at the ceremony banquet. Mrs. Liu hopes Home and Abroad News Press will continue promoting achievements in various fields from the cooperation between Hong Kong and mainland China. The Cultural Counsellor of Iranian Embassy to China, Mr. Aziz Alizadeh made an address on the behalf of attending embassies. He highly commended Mrs. Wei Yan and her dedicated team making such great efforts to enhance long lasting friendships between China and foreign countries. This year is the 40th anniversary of China and Iran establishing diplomatic relations.
